Part-Time Veterinary Assistant

Best Friends Pet Clinic is looking for a motivated, outgoing, and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We are looking for a self-starter and problem solver who loves working with both animals and people. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

About Best Friends Pet Clinic

Best Friends Pet Clinic is located in Galesville, Wisconsin, a small, welcoming community just 20 minutes from La Crosse and Winona.

We are a full-service veterinary clinic committed to providing exceptional medical care with warmth, compassion, and teamwork. Our services include:

  • Wellness and preventative care
  • Surgery
  • Digital radiography
  • Laser therapy
  • Dental care
  • In-house IDEXX laboratory services

We are proud of our positive culture, supportive team environment, and the meaningful relationships we build with our clients and their pets.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal Veterinary Assistant will be:

Schedule

Part-time or full-time: 20–40 hours per week

Our hospital hours are:

  • Monday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Tuesday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM–12:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

No weekend work!

Compensation & Benefits

  • 12.00–15.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Possible pay increase after 90 days
  • Continuing education opportunities
